How to Uninstall Magisk?
There are two methods to uninstall Magisk:
- Manually uninstalling it using Uninstaller ZIP.
- Default Uninstallation via Magisk App
Using the Uninstaller Magisk ZIP is the most reliable method to completely remove Magisk.
Manually Uninstalling Via Uninstaller
- Download the Magisk Uninstall.ZIP.
- Boot your system in TWRP custom recovery.
- Go to “Install” in TWRP, locate and select the Magisk Uninstall.ZIP file.
- Swipe to flash. Wait a few moments while it completes.
- Once the flashing is done, tap Reboot System.
- This may take a bit longer than usual — don’t worry.
- Now your device is completely unrooted.
- You can go ahead and uninstall the Magisk app APK manually.
- Congrats! Your phone is now unrooted and Magisk is completely removed.
Default Uninstallation via Magisk App
Don’t directly uninstall Magisk from your phone. That won’t remove it completely. To unroot it, simply follow these steps:
- Open your phone’s Settings.
- Scroll down and go to About Phone.
- Tap on “Build Number” seven times. This will enable Developer Options.
- Now go to Additional Settings, then Developer Options.
- Scroll down and enable USB Debugging.
Once that’s done, the next step is uninstalling Magisk:
- If Magisk is not installed, first download the latest Magisk APK file.
- Once installed, open the Magisk app.
- Go to Magisk Settings.
- If Zygisk is enabled, turn it off.

- Go back and select “Uninstall Magisk”.

- Tap on “Complete Uninstallation”.

- Once done, your device will automatically start unrooting.

Magisk will be removed, and your device will automatically reboot. Just wait a bit. After 30–40 seconds, your phone will be fully booted. Magisk has been completely uninstalled, and your device is now unrooted.
Conclusion
These are the easiest methods to unroot your device. Once completed, your device will be completely unrooted and won’t be detected as rooted by any app. Manually unrooting using the uninstaller ZIP is considered the safest method.
